Usually one of the underlying factors is stress or anxiety and it too may not be obvious.

The mind is a complex machine that requires nurturing and the nourishment of sleep in order to work properly. Rather than continually guess about what is wrong with you, consulting with a physician can get to the root of your problems and help you to solve them.

There are many avenues you can take to get help for sleeping problems. Sometimes doctors may put you on prescriptions medications to help control anxiety or they may ask that you change your diet and lifestyle to see if that makes a difference.

There are also herbal remedies that may be helpful especially if your sleeping problems are caused by a deprivation of serotonin or melatonin.
