What happens is that the mind begins to act compulsive and takes over the bodies sleep rhythms, which can negatively affect your overall health.

The lack of sleep can weaken the immune system and cause you to become ill more often. It is important to learn ways to control anxiety so that you can get a good nights sleep at night. One common mistake is trying to go to bed too early. Sometimes, it may be a better idea to stay up a little later rather than try to go to bed early.

Setting Up a Worry Time to Fight Your Sleeping Disorder

The vast extent of people suffers from a sleeping disorder because of excessive worry. When worries get too much, it may be wise to start scheduling a worry time in your life. This will not only help you to recognize just how much you worry, but also allow you to put your worries off so that you can move through your day without worrying all the time.

For instance, set up the hours of 8-9am to worry and then the rest of the day; make strides to push your worries aside. Although this may seem simplistic in theory, in practice it will help you to control your anxiety, which may have you sleeping peacefully in no time.
